Commissioned by The Helen Clark Foundation and produced by the NZ Institute of Economic Research (NZIER), the paper considers the importance of the food and fibre sector to New Zealand’s future prosperity, and sets out pathways by which it can grow value sustainably in the years ahead.
We will discuss how the food and fibre sector can meet changing international expectations around sustainability and climate change, and the skills and capabilities firms will need to be competitive in export markets in the years ahead.
