Voting papers are being mailed this week to registered voters in the Maungawhau Subdivision of the Albert-Eden Local Board. A by-election is being held to fill a vacancy on the Board in the Mt Eden, Kingsland, Balmoral, Greenlane and Epsom areas.

I took time out to meet Bernadette Power, the City Vision candidate. Bernadette lives in Balmoral and practises law in Greenlane; she knows the communities in the area well. She has been involved with local #sustainability issues, walking school buses, social sport, and campaigns against unnecessary liquor stores.

Bernadette will have my vote as she will bring a strong and well informed local voice to the deliberations of the local community board - which is a vital part of our local government system. We need dedicated and able people in local government at every level.
Check out City Vision’s website for more information about Bernadette and what she stands for: https://cityvision.org.nz/...

And, whatever your views, please exercise your democratic right to vote !
