The International Planned Parenthood’s General Assembly. New Delhi/India

I’ve been in New Delhi in recent days to support the International Planned Parenthood’s General Assembly (IPPF) which was convened to consider transformational change to the organisation’s governance structure and how it distributes its funding. 

In this age of pushback against sexual and reproductive health and rights, the role of IPPF and its member associations around the world as staunch advocates of these services and rights is vital. The changes agreed in New Delhi will strengthen IPPF’s effectiveness. 

It was a privilege to be present with my two facilitators - James Fletcher of Saint Lucia and Gogontlejang Phaladi.
