Season's Greetings

Last Christmas, could any of us have imagined how our lives would be turned upside down by a pandemic? Everyone around the world has been impacted one way or another: many have lost their lives; many have suffered severe and ongoing health impacts; many have lost jobs and livelihoods, missed out on their education, and/or lacked access to regular health services; and there have been higher rates of domestic and family violence impacting mostly on women and children. Many of those celebrating Christmas will be under lockdown and unable to be with family. Nonetheless, as vaccines begin to roll out, let Christmas also be a time of hope for better times, and for resolving that no one is left behind in the battle against the pandemic.
