Aoraki/Mount Cook Trip

Magnificent Aoraki/Mount Cook above & behind us on our ski touring trip on grandplateau from Department of Conservation's Plateau Hut this week. I went to the National Park as Prime Minister to open the hut in 2005. The weather was stormy and we were unable to fly up to the hut at its 2,200 metres location, so the opening was done at the Park village. Awe inspiring fifteen years later to ski from it and below.
