Helen Clark elected Chair of the Global Leadership Foundation

In October 2021, Helen Clark was elected as Chair of the Global Leadership Foundation. The Global Leadership Foundation is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation that comprises of a network of former Presidents, Prime Ministers, senior government ministers and other distinguished leaders. Its members offer private and confidential advice to Heads of Government. Helen Clark has been a Member of the Global Leadership Foundation since November 2017.

Helen Clark said: “It is a special honour to be invited by the Chairman and Founder FW de Klerk, on behalf of the Members, to take the Chair of the Global Leadership Foundation. In so doing, I pay tribute to FW’s vision of an organisation that would allow former leaders to help today’s national leaders to confront and resolve issues not dissimilar in scale and/or complexity to those which they themselves once faced, and to his energy, dedication and commitment to make that vision a reality.” Read the full statement here.
