Board Chair

The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, hosted by the World Health Organization, has been promoting health policy and systems research for 25 years to strengthen health systems in low- and middle-income countries. They aim to generate, use, and disseminate policy-relevant health systems knowledge while developing capacity among researchers and policy-makers.

Helen Clark was elected as Chair of the Board for the Alliance in December 2022 and took up the post at the beginning of 2023. "I am honoured to have been appointed as the new Chair of the Board of the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research," she said at that time. "I look forward to driving meaningful change in policy and systems to improve health and health equity globally."
